Full Stack Developer - Frontend Focus (m/f/d)
Leipzig
Full-time
Permanent employee
Introduction
Your responsibilities
Our WTC (Web Trading Center) team builds the platform our traders work in every day — the near real-time dashboard that turns Optimax's algorithmic trading into something people can see, understand and act on. Every live data stream, every chart and every interface decision shapes how confidently our traders move in fast, volatile energy markets. As a Fullstack Developer with a frontend focus in this team, you'll lead the frontend while growing into the backend, owning how the platform looks, feels and performs under real-time load. You will:
- Drive our frontend development and shape the architecture of our frontend monorepo.
- Build new analytical and trading UI components such as dashboards and live charts that stay fast and reliable under high load.
- Maintain and refactor the UI of our existing platform and continuously raise the bar on quality and UX.
- Run code and architecture reviews and help define how our frontend evolves.
- Grow into our backend (Kotlin/Eclipse Vert.X) along a structured learning path and with a dedicated mentor, contributing step by step to API implementation, performance improvements and microservices’ deployment into Kubernetes.
- Take an active part in team life: refinements, planning, and knowledge sharing.
- Bring ideas to the table and actively look for better ways to build our product, our code and our processes.
